Welcome to The Magpie’s Attic. We love sourcing beautiful vintage and antique pieces and want you to feel confident and happy when shopping with us. Please take a moment to read through the following Terms & Conditions before using our website, www.themagpiesattic.com (the “Service”). By using our website, you agree to these Terms. If anything here doesn’t sit right with you, we kindly ask that you don’t use the Service.


Use of the Website

These Terms apply to everyone who visits or uses our website. All content on the site — including images, text, and design — belongs to The Magpie’s Attic and may not be used without permission. Failure by us to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights. Should any provision be deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and The Magpie’s Attic in relation to the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.


Vintage & Antique Items

The Magpie’s Attic specialises in vintage and antique goods. Due to their age and history, items may naturally show signs of wear, patina, or previous restoration. Antique items (over 100 years old) may include imperfections, these features are part of the character and authenticity of such pieces. We take care to describe items accurately and honestly.


Product Information & Condition

Customers are encouraged to contact us before purchasing if they require further details or clarification about an item’s condition, size, or suitability. We are always happy to answer questions and provide additional information. All items are sold in their existing condition (“as is” or “as found”). It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure an item meets their expectations prior to purchase. 


Shipping & Collection

Given the fragile nature of many vintage and antique items, customers should consider delivery and collection options carefully.

  • Large items & furniture: These items can only be shipped via courier. Customers may arrange their own collection or coordinate with a local courier. Please contact us before purchasing to discuss arrangements.
     
  • Shipping within Ireland: Orders are sent via An Post. Parcels up to 10kg cost €6. While An Post offers next-day delivery services, delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
     
  • Dispatch timeframe: Orders are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days, often sooner.
     
  • International shipping: Please contact us by email prior to purchase to discuss international shipping options.
     

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ireland.

Return and Refund Policy

 

At The Magpie’s Attic, we want you to love your purchase! Because our items are vintage and antique, each piece is unique and sold in its current condition (“as is”).


Please check descriptions carefully and contact us with any questions before buying.


Returns:

  • Due to the nature of vintage items, we generally cannot accept returns, unless an item arrives damaged, misdescribed, or not as ordered.
  • If this happens, contact us within 7 days of receiving your item with photos and a description.
     

Refunds:

  • Approved returns will be refunded (purchase price only, shipping costs excluded) once the item is received and inspected.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take up to 14 working days to appear.
     

Damaged or Incorrect Items:

  • Please contact us immediately with photos if an item arrives damaged or isn’t as described. We’ll work with you to arrange a return or solution.
     

Exchanges:

  • Every item is one-of-a-kind, so direct exchanges aren’t possible. To “exchange,” return the original item and place a new order.
     

Shipping Returns:

  • Customers cover return shipping costs unless the item is damaged or misdescribed.
     
  • We recommend using tracked and insured shipping, as we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns.
